If this keeps up, many will discover that the dissatisfaction with Trump's tactics here will be deeper than that. Evangelicals and other groups of conservatives don't like this sort of public humiliation and trashing of a well respected conservative of longstanding.

People used to say that when I was exposing Ted Cruz as a sneaky little liar on this forum. The end result was that the majority of posters eventually agreed with me. On the macro-scale of the entire public, people came to the same conclusion independently despite NeverTrumpers freaking the hell out about bashing Saint Cruz.

I recall those days, and Trump does not need to start supplying the public with a string of pointless examples of what objectionable behavior he can indulge in. He needs to leave that sort of thing behind.

Yep, and there is some percentage of them who will stay home on election day if they find a candidate's behavior or attitude objectionable, even if it helps a Dim in the election. And all the whining and gnashing of teeth in the world won't change that.
