Could someone please explain to me why Sessions didn’t tell Trump that he was going to recuse himself.
Lynch and Holder wouldn’t sneeze without asking Obama if it was OK to do so.
Trump is still using management by exception. He doesn’t micro manage. He trusts people to do their job until they don’t.
And not telling Trump in advance that he would recuse himself may be a big part of Trump’s current anger. It really looks like Sessions doesn’t have the intestinal fortitude to meet the opposition head on. I have to say I think Trump should express his anger in private, though, and do something about it.

Before JS’s confirmation hearings I might be able to understand why. I don’t have a timeline in front of me but am not sure it was on the radar that the Russia thing was going to explode as it has.
After confirmation, though... when a reporter caught DJT walking into a meeting and asked him his thoughts about Sessions’ recusal re Russia... ouch! He seemed to be surprised by it, like maybe this was the first he’d heard about it. And the anger on his face was incredible. JS never should have recused re Russia. But when he decided, DJT should’ve been the first person who knew about it.
