The legislature is a separate but equal branch, but they are by definition half of a co-equal branch in the Senate. Divide by 100 and each of them is 0.5% of the president.

Of course, we never heard this from the McCainiac when Obama was President. They happily conceded power.

Yeah right, John. Senators are the president’s equals...then why were you looking for a lateral job move in 2008 if you did not think it was a promotion?

I’m glad McLame doesn’t have anything better to think about these days, like his life ending sooner rather than later. Good to see his priorities are in order.

As he kissed Obama butt for the past 8 years.
...
And threw in the towel during the election campaign because he really liked getting rich being in the minority. That is where republicans actually like getting paid by Soros, et al.

Well reaching across the aisle seems a no-go when the vote he showed up for went down without a single Dem on board. Currently there are 95 Trump nominations waiting to be confirmed. That would nearly triple the number of friendly people reporting to the President. He would still be at less than 30% six months in, but it would be better than the current situation.

The GOPe has proven to the satisfaction of anyone paying attention that they, as a body, are loyal to no one but themselves first, and the DNC second.

When not using the IRS to attack conservatives,
or forming ISIS to gang rape little boys and girls
and sell them into slavery,
or taking millions from the Russians for HIS campaign,
McCain is the constructor/financier of dirty gossip.

Actually, the Senate is only half of one of the coequal branches of government. It’s time they cooperate with the House. Where was McCain’s stand up to the President speech during the 8 years of Obama? May he leave the Senate soon, one way or another.

""We are not the president's subordinates. We are his equal," McCain said of the legislative branch."

Sen. McCain sidesteps the reality that voters elected Trump because the corrupt, post-17th Amendment ratification Congress has been wrongly ignoring the voters who elected Trump.

Anytime there is a serious intrusion to a persons brain, there will ALWAYS be a permanent deficit to some brain function. McCain first had a blood clot, obviously caused by the brain cancer. I am sure he had a biopsy for diagnosis and even possibly a resection of the cancer. Also confident he is now on steroids and anti-seizure medication. Just how capable is he right now?

The three branches of government are equal under the Constitution, but as individuals, the President is over Senators and Representatives...

Not until the House and Senate pass things first and send them to him. And they can override his veto.

The senior senile senator from Arizona cannot issue an executive order. Nor can he nominate anybody for anything. Nor can he order military action. Nor can he pardon anyone. Nor can he sign a treaty. What have I left out?

Regarding the healthcare legislation, Trump has let Congress draft it in both houses, any idea that Trump is demanding they play to his tune is pure fantasy by McCain. Then there is that tiny matter of serving the American people.

McCain is a dirt bag plain and simple. Sorry for his illness, but he’s a jackass.

In 8 years, I never heard him say anything against Obama.
He attacked the Tea Party, Conservatives and anyone fighting illegal immigration.
Sounds like Harry Reid to me.
