Mixed bag of response, I think. Some people think the public trashing is not well taken, others think Sessions deserves it for the reasons Trump gives.
Few people appear to know the history of "who knew what, when." Many work with fake history. As usual, positions are taken on uninformed and generally emotional foundation.
rump is damaging himself in the South and among evangelicals all over the US. Many, many people are very put off by this pubic humiliation and trashing of someone who was so instrumental in the Trump campaign, particularly on the immigration and trade issues. And the evangelicals are the type who will stay home if they've been really turned by a candidate's personal behavior.
And Trump is hurting himself among the senators and representatives, and among his own staff, and among good people they might want to hire for unfilled positions. This is not a good recruitment advertisement to attract more good people. If he'll do this to Sessions, he'll do it to anyone except family.
