People should get more familiar with the capabilities of data collection of the little black boxes some insurance carriers plug into the vehicle’s data port to track the client’s mileage for a discount.

Even though the insurance companies don’t utilize the tracking data, the data exists nonetheless.

Furthermore, thieves have figured out how to amplify the signals from keyless entry fobs for vehicles as well, so as to open cars while the owner is in bed with their keys on the night stand. I also have a client whose Harley was stolen while he was on a rest stop shitter (he didn’t lock his steering).

Given what is known about Stingray, this is but another slippery slope to track each and every one of us.
