Darn it! I should have known that, as I started college as a political science major. And that was back in the pre-PC days, when colleges taught things that were really true.

But then again, I was in the poli sci program for just a year Then I got kicked out (poor grades). Long story, but I eventually ended up as a chemistry major. So getting kicked out of poli sci was really a blessing.

I had to learn about LaFollette and the Progressives outside of a formal education too. Even when colleges taught that Americanism was superior to Communism, they ignored Progressivism but for different reasons than today. Today, they ignore it because it is and inconvenient truth. Then, they ignored it because it was a study in just how fragile our Republic can be.

If the Bolsheviks hasn’t become so brutal so fast, we could have easily followed Russia in communism via the work of the Progs.
