Some of the youngsters are fairly sharp from early childhood, but others are mush until well on in years. Oh, well ... keeps life interesting!

Eek! While I wouldn’t argue that the film has its merits, “John dies at the end” is a gross and offensive horror movie. It is funny but it has several icky moments and characters dying (not John though) scary stuff and drug use—a live action South Park horror movie, if you will by the guy that directed Phantasm.

I just don’t think it’s exactly the sort of film though that’s being asked for here, but maybe I’m a wimp on horror movies, since I prefer the old Universal black and white films.

I’m going to suggest “Community” which my husband keeps watching and laughing at since we discovered it on dvd at our local used book store. It’s a nerd sitcom show by the “Rick and Morty” guy. This is opposed to the horrible “Big Bang Theory” which is a sitcom written for an average tv viewer to poke fun at nerds—a nerd “minstrel show” as someone put it, that promotes Time Warner products. Since it isn’t politically correct on tv to laugh at race, gender, gender orientation or weight, they have to make fun of nerds now who can be any random selection of the above categories.

I’ll be interested in seeing what everyone else suggests, since I’m a vhs collector and most post 2000’s tv shows and movies are new to me.

“A Separation.” It’s a very good film from Iran.

I loved the Paul Newman version of “Our Town.”

I watched both last week and enjoyed them very much.

Yes, Bridge of Spies is a good choice. Haven’t seen Sully.

Riley Ace of Spies

Don’t know if they are available on Netflix, but if you can locate either or both you won’t be disappointed.

Seven seasons of Daniel Boone the TV series from the 60’s is available on Youtube.

It’s hokey but fun watching to catch the anachronisms and flaws like jet trails in the skies of Kentucky in the late 1700’s, historical events that Boone “participated” in when the reality was he was living in Missouri at the time as well as good old fall in the river and 1 minute later be dry as a bone.

Oh, the biggest laugh is how much Kentucky looks like California.

No gory violence, sex or foul language either.

The Feynman Lectures on Physics

How heavy are they?
I enjoyed “Surely You’re Joking, Mr. Feynman!” but “A Brief History of Time” made my brain hurt.

I worked with a guy that did FFT’s in his head, me not so much.

I was disappointed in the last season’s episodes. They moved the plot along so quickly it gave you whiplash. But love the s-l-o-w twist and turns throughout the earlier seasons.

“The Game”

Absolutely double Yes on that one.

Starts you out slow, then twists you up like an over wound watch spring. Great ending.

It’s funny how subtitles work. Within a few minutes your mind just sort of blends them in.
