ANKARA (Reuters) - Turkey's jailed pro-Kurdish opposition leader said no judge could stand up to Tayyip Erdogan, expressing doubts he could ever have a fair trial after the president publicly labeled him a terrorist.

In a rare interview from prison, Selahattin Demirtas also told Reuters he believed he accepted some blame for failing to halt the collapse of peace talks between the government and the outlawed Kurdistan Workers Party (PKK).

So, now even Reuters "get's it".

Is Erdogan's fear of the truth so strong that he must arrest all his opposition? Well, it appears it is.

Erdogan the Islamist is in Full Dictator mode now. He is above the law (do we remember a leaders in that mode?).

And Demirtas is the leader of HDP, who sought peace between Turkey and the PKK. (HDP is a moderate pro Western party). Now the question, what will the CHP (the Kemalists) do?

"Prosecutors are seeking jail sentences of 142 years for Demirtas" and no judge dare stand against conviction. "more than 4,000 judges and prosecutors dismissed from their posts" after the (faux) coup.

I've come to understand that Turks in general are pretty blind nationalists. But Erdogan is the first Islamist to be in power since WWI, and is overturning the entire basis that Mustafa Kemal Ataturk used to found Turkey. At some point there will be a reaction by them, note Erdogan has not dared to arrest Kemalists.

Turkey, under Erdogan, has become a Islamist Fascist Dictatorship. And he has the most powerful and largest military in the Middle East.
