Yes, he knew that Mook and others had "blamed Russia" and "accused Trump of egging the Russians on to steal Hillary's email," but neither of them foresaw what is being sold as a criminal investigation against the Trump campaign, for coordinating Russian activities to the benefit of the Trump campaign.
