The Executive Branch Ethics Commission has thrown out a pair of complaints accusing Gov. Matt Bevin of accepting an improper gift by spending $1.6 million to buy a home in March from a state contractor and member of the Kentucky Retirement Systems board that had been valued at around $2.5 million by the Jefferson County Property Valuation Administrator.
In letters dated Wednesday and first reported by Kentucky Today, the commissions executive director, Kathryn Gabhart, informed Rep. Darryl Owens, D-Louisville, and Richard Beliles, chairman of Common Cause Kentucky, that their complaints had been unanimously dismissed by the panel at its meeting Monday. The commission is made up of three members appointed by Bevin, a Republican, and two appointed by former Gov. Steve Beshear, a Democrat.
The commission ruled in both complaints that the property sale did not violate the states ethics code because Rameys businesses dont directly contract with and arent regulated by the Governors Office.

Now the spin from the liberals on social media is that the commission is under "Republican control" even though the decision was unanimous, including the Democrats. They are brain dead.
Media is scared of him. Next stop is the Senate.
Should have had him in the Senate already and spared us another term of Yertle.
One more term as governor first I would hope.
Funny how events seem to fashion one’s view.
Now my first inclination is the source would be found not to be the left but that of the McConnell PAC. IF, McConnell was to run again in 2020, I would say that Bevin would be that person who could overcome the incumbency hurdle. He has the message and now the experience as Governor and that I feel would be the retirement salvo for the Post Turtle.
Bevin and Trump have a lot in common: they’re both punching bags for the dems and fake news. The people of Kentucky elected the former governor’s son, Andy Beshear, as Attorney General. In other words, the people unwittingly elected an AG that will spend his four years, full-time, assaulting and opposing anything that Bevin tries to do. Always good to get paid well for that which you would do for free.
Interesting way of starting that...Alison Lundergan Grimes said they both had something in comment, that they would both “never hold elected office.” :-)
Andy Beshear just barely won that race and probably would not have had the AG group not pulled out in the last two weeks, believing the media polls that Beshear had a solid lead. Nothing was spent to support the Republican SOS candidate, but he also just barely lost to Grimes. That was a missed opportunity to sweep all of the races.
