1984 doublespeak. I cannot stand how these people are forever changing the common vocabulary. Their goal is to never offend any one. Being Politically correct is more important than actually reporting the facts.
Journalism has done a 180 degree turn in 75 years.
See the common man can get the facts without the assistance of these "reporters".
We don't need people reporting what is coming across the "wire" anymore.
We can investigate and read for ourselves.
Good bye MSM, you are no longer needed.

We wouldn’t do bad to ditch the word “terrorist”, as the definition is entirely subjective.

In other words, the AP style manual is attempting to inform writers of how better to style their lies in order to make them more palatable to a gullible low information voter reader.
So journalists of this ilk might more truthfully be termed "professional liars".

Let the AP use its own style book. Let FoxNews use its own. And so on. Who the F is the AP? F those MFers.

So the pro-choice folks are offended by the term "pro-life"? That's factually who we are, though.
You're really in a bad place when the truth becomes offensive.
Plus, "anti-abortion" wouldn't suffice as it wouldn't cover those who'd allow abortion to save the life of the mother. "Pro-life" would still be more fitting.

Prochoice is actually proabort, no matter what a woman WOULD choose. Margaret Sanger herself said ‘no more babies’.
