What, do you not realize that different types of food are metabolized differently—and thus it is not a simple calories-in/exercise expenditure-out equation?
He phrased that badly.
The point he was making is that you can’t intentionally control your weight by calorie-counting.
Regular readers of his will already know that.
He has pointed-out elsewhere that if you overeat by ten calories (one potato chip) per day, you’ll gain a pound over the course of a year; ten pounds per decade.
If you knock-off the carbs, you’ll stop eating when you’ve had enough to eat, and, if you’re overweight, you’ll lose weight without being hungry.
