Sessions just made it easier for police to seize cash and property from people suspected ─ but not necessarily charged with or convicted ─ of crimes. These asset forfeiture laws with no judicial oversight have been seriously abused, people carrying $5k to buy a used car in a neighboring state having their money seized and never return - they could file a lawsuit but an attorney would charge $15k minimum. Worst appointment Trump has made.
