This is so wrong on so many levels. Something I haven't seen in the press is he was shooting past his partner out his partner's window. How did this buffoon get a badge???

I wasn't there. Also, I'm not a cop, and have no training for such situations. But an action like this strikes me as a serious violation of protocol.

If, indeed, he was startled into firing, then he could have shot himself, his partner, or any other innocent bystander. At best, guy is an incompetent menace.

Hopefully the family has the wherewithal to see this through to a conclusion where - at minimum - the cop is dismissed. More preferable would be to see him behind bars. But as an "untouchable", my money is on the entire case being swept under the rug.
