Senator Kamala Harris is running for president. The Hill reports that’s the word coming from top donors who are excited about the possibility:
The Bridgehampton event, where Harris mingled with top donors and supporters of Hillary Clinton, was the ultimate signal that Harris is “thinking much bigger” than the Senate, one top bundler said.
“She’s running for president. Take it to the bank,” another fundraiser said. “She’s absolutely going to run.”
Donors say Harris is giving them a glimmer of hope when they need it the most…
Since November, Harris has become one of her party’s biggest draws: She has raised upwards of $600,000 for Senate candidates in recent months, and she recently raised $227,000 in an email for MoveOn.Org, according to sources close to Harris.

My wife took a very informal poll at her women’s Bible study group. Suffice to say, all the Black ladies expressed their personal dismay at having voted for Jugears not once, but twice. My input was that, given the choice, 99.9% of them would vote for him a third time.
We need to come up with a better candidate for 2020. I just can’t see who he or she is right now. One thing we know for sure - our candidate has to be a Reagan-esque outsider, not necessarily a Pubbie.
Barak Obama’s politics of racial hatred have ruined it for any non-white candidate.
Americans suffered thru 8 years of being afraid to criticize their President for fear of being racist...they won’t do it again.
Just a somewhat younger Maxine Waters. That is her ONLY advantage going into this round of “designated double token” (black AND female), which are obviously good enough credentials to get a campaign fund started for her.
The Democrats’ best and brightest. Which is to say, she does not have a lot of direct competition among her peers.

I hope the Dems nominate this doofus, but I doubt she’ll last that long. I’ve been following her for years, and she’s a dim bulb. We can hope, though.
I’m not a lawyer but I don’t think a ‘Senate Resolution, has the force of law, or for that matter, the Constitution.

The Democrat field is wide open so Kamala has as good a chance as any. She just arrived but so what. All you need is six months of media puff pieces and TV interviews to create an Obama type image. If Maricon can win in France this California loon can win the Democrat nomination

Running The Great Black Hope (and change!) is a one-time event. We’ve already had a black president, and a woman as a party nominee. Harris won’t be seen as a trail-blazer. And her personality is problematic at best.

Trouble, yes, and she scares me most out of all of the Dems names I’ve heard.
However, she has about 1/10th the charisma Obama had ... she is going to be a tough sell. You can’t take her lightly, but she’s *not* going to be another Obama that waltzes into the White House with coattails ... not going to happen. If Trump gets a couple of big ticket items through the slime that is the US congress, she won’t run ... she’d get eviscerated and she knows it.
Right now, they’re using her to fire up their base and get money for 2018. If congress remains gridlocked thanks to RINOs and/or the Dems take congress in 2018, she’ll then run.
