The interesting part is the 3rd paragraph where you see they snuck in eating, drinking, smoking, grooming and reading as offenses that you can also be ticketed for. Subsequently found out that many municipalities here such as Seattle, Tacoma, and Redmond also have these laws going into effect next week, but as primary offenses.

This would mean everyone is a criminal except the politicians as they are driven around in taxpayer paid cars and the police who I routinely see blow thru stop signals and change lanes without signaling so eating in the car would be ok for them too.

That’s how a violation for not wearing a seat belt was.
In the last year i have been fined in two different states for no seat belt and nothing else.

I expect the LEOs will selectively enforce parts of the law (WINK WINK). They will happily look the other way, if you have a Hillary bumper sticker, for example. Smoking a cigarette, and sporting a MAGA sticker - you might be looking at hard time.

“eating, drinking, smoking, grooming and reading”

Eating, drinking and smoking are very different than grooming and reading when it comes to driving.

All those liberals that came up from California just had to go and ruin another state.
