Funny! Or how about:
Is life so dear, or peace so sweet, as to be purchased at the price
of conformity on the interstate? Forbid it, Almighty God!
I know not in which style others may ride; but as for me,
give me "Look ma! No Hands!" or give me death!"

Exactly, it’s these schmucks that give riders/bikers a bad name, no sympathy just cleaning out the gene pool.

Some just have an appetite for more and more dangerous thrills.
Me, I was more the careful-type biker. A good biker is always looking for trouble — but not to embrace it, but to avoid it!
I’m sad, of course. God marks the sparrow’s fall. But the time for exit came for him. I hope he had gotten right with the Lord but who knows.

Generally, these tricks are first practiced in less risky environs. Also the riders know how to fall if their bikes do take a tumble. He shouldn’t have ever cracked his noggin.

Looks like 50% are illegal and 100% have rap sheets a mile long.
The legal citizen Hispanic population in California is enormous. Any random group is bound to look more or less like this one.
As for crime, it's hard to tell. They could be controlling the drug and gun traffic of the state, or they could just be a bunch of guys with ordinary jobs who like to ride on the weekends. My guess is more like the second.
When it comes to traffic violations, though, that's another story. They lose members every few months to accidents. Mostly reckless driving on their part, I think.

I guess we can look at things relatively here.
Would we rather have bikers stunting on the highway and occasionally dying in it, or dealing drugs. If it had to be one or the other, I’d take the stunting. Better that it be neither, but still.

As a motorcyclist, I don’t ride on the road...trees do not pull out in front of you...I learned my lesson when I was 14 doing a wheelie in the woods and hit a tree...

In that gang/club, it might be a peer pressure thing. Taking of stupid dares. In many of the gang/clubs it’s more about the brotherhood even, than about the riding.
If I was rich and owned a circus, I’d ask those guys if they wanted to learn how to be professional stunt riders. Do it the right way.

True... and again, when one rides long enough, one learns to anticipate most things that traffic, even stupid traffic, will do.
I even flashed my lights once at a police cruiser waiting at a cross intersection, rather than risking him not seeing me and running into me. He didn’t come after me, but if he had, I would have explained the safety rationale. Didn’t want him to fail to see me.
As for a wheelie... first time I went on the road, on a Bultaco Alpina 360, I wheelied. And I didn’t even know it until my riding buddy told me I had. That thing was light. 100 pounds wet. But powerful.

You are imposing your first-world oppressor values on these multicultural street artists.
They have heroically added enrichment to the lives of average Southern Californian motorists, who happily welcome yet one more infuriating inconvenience imposed upon them cultural enrichment added to their dull white-bread existence.

I can understand your point of view, but we’re ultimately responsible for our own lives on this earth, until the Lord calls us away.
