Walmart was apologizing on Monday after an appalling description of a product by a third-party vendor made its way onto the retail giants website.
The retailer was slammed early Monday after the color of a netting weave cap used as a protective layer between a persons hair and sewn-in hair extensions on its site was described as the color N Brown.
Hey @Walmart what are you doing, Twitter user Kwani Lunis tweeted with a screenshot of the problematic product listing.
New York Times best-selling author Roxane Gay condemned the retail chain, tweeting that dropping the N-bomb on their site was so far past unacceptable.
Shortly after the controversy erupted, Walmart removed the racial slur and replaced the Add To Cart button with a message stating that the item was no longer available.

There’s a whole country in Africa called “Niger”, and a river too.
“Made in China.”
So are you saying that this is a legitimate color in China? Are the Chinese racists?
(actually they are)
I be lookin’ fo’ sumpin’ in a “wigger white”.
It’s such a glaring double standard.
Some black comedian called Obama “my nigger” at the White House correspondents dinner, and that was ok.
Paula Deen said nigger in some unclear context, and was driven out of public life.
Yet liberals see nothing untoward about such situations.
Mr. White, there are fifty shades of black.
I see a law firm coming up with a class action lawsuit on behalf of every “offended” black person in the world.
An OBGYN named Hairy Beaver? Oh my ...
I went to school with that guy...
When there, I made sure and pick up a supply of toothpaste. Worth some $'s on e-bay now...
Tempest in a teapot IMO.
The total confusion and derision of the Lying Left.
Beat me to it...
I am speechless. How did that get through the edit process?
If you’ve ever listened to Mandarin speakers you’ll swear they’re dropping N-bombs all over the place. The most common measure syllable in Mandarin is “Ga”. The word for “this” is “Ja-Ga” The pre-fix for “that” is “Nih”.
So don’t be alarmed if a Mandarin speaker seems to be spouting racial epithets, they’re just talking about this and that.

And FYI I was at a meeting in Japan the day after Clinton’s first election. Our host asked us: “Prees to tell us about President Crinton’s ERECTION!” The “Kohee” was all over our side of the table needless to say.
