Sorry to bother you.. but, for some reason, the greasemonkey script stopped working for me :/
Is this only me, or is there some update that stopped it from working?

for some reason, the greasemonkey script stopped working for me :/

Is it not working at all or is it malfunctioning in some other way?

There was talk a few weeks ago about FR switching over to HTTPS mode, which would have broken the old versions of the two scripts. They contained specs which would have prevented their being run on an HTTPS version of FR. The observed result would have been ... nothing ... i.e., as if the scripts had never been installed.

Someone alerted me to this issue, and I made versions which work in both HTTP and HTTPS. (I had seen talk of HTTPS, but I assumed it related just to the donations page, not the whole site).

Is this only me, or is there some update that stopped it from working?

There is no automatic update mechanism for the scripts. You are still running whatever you installed whenever (not that there has been a lot of updating). But, if you are using HTTPS FR, then the old scripts won't work.

The good news is, from my home page are linked updated versions which are modified to work with both HTTP and HTTPS FR.

One other thing. For some time now, the FR server has been stuttering. By which I mean, instead of shipping you the full page in the fullness of time, such as that may be, it spits out a few thousand bytes, then pauses, then dribbles out another few K, then finally spits out the rest of the page.

Why does this matter? The scripts are run when the browser senses that the page is "complete". That makes sense, since you wouldn't want the scripts running on a half-loaded page. However, it also means that the Posting Form Enhancer doesn't do anything until the page is "complete" as far as the browser is concerned. This never used to matter, but now it does, until whatever bug / misconfiguration is fixed.

One way to tell independently if you've got a stuttering page is to watch the posting dates in the page. While the page is loading, they will be in the PDT timezone. When the page is complete, they'll suddenly swap over to your local timezone. If the page is stuttering, there will be a visible delay before that fix happens. You will see this phenomenon whether or not you are running my scripts.
