Sunday on CNNs Reliable Sources, journalist and network contributor Carl Bernstein said the difference between the investigations into Russias meddling in the 2016 election and the Watergate era was the country is in the midst of a cold civil war.
Bernstein said, The difference between Watergate and now, one of the big differences is that we are in the midst of a cold civil war in this country, a political and cultural civil war.
He added that Fox news has created, a different media universe, that is a caldron taking place in this hot house of political debate in which a fact based debate is becoming impossible in this culture.

The Left is losing control of the message.
The Left never ever gives up power quietly.
What an oxymoron: CNN’s “Reliable Sources”
At least one of Trump’s team finally came out and said what we know, the mainstream media are enemies of the American people.
Maybe Lucille will interview Carl the Commie about the hot civil war...
That incident is akin to “Harper’s Ferry”, insofar as it was a nut making the first move into violence, but the war didn’t/doesn’t really start until official action was taken.
Your imbedded media could get on the side of truth, Carl, and start telling the whole story & more of the truth.
Instead, the media fanning the flames as fast as they can.
Why they think that none of the flames or smoke or burned out patches will affect them is a mystery to me.
This AM, Good Morning America started EVERY half hour segment with the story about how BAD Trump’s approval numbers were in a media controlled poll. With so many other events happening, seems like overkill to me, and another reason why Trump’s base isn’t listening to the media very strongly any more.
I was polled at least 3 times a week in 2016, from August to the election....
NOW—Absolutely NO POLLS have called me. That tells me that they are only calling people who gave them the responses they wanted & are using last year’s answers to get their twisted polls now.
That’s been obvious since Algore contested the election in 2000.
