Device-maker Motorola announced Monday that would partner with artificial intelligence software startup Neurala to build “real-time learning for a person of interest search” on Motorola products such as the Si500 body camera for police, the AI firm announced in a press release today.

It will not be perfect, and will “alert” the cops to a criminal where there is none. Innocents will be shot, since they are not criminals and will be reaching for their smartphones, unaware that the machine is beeping “wanted criminal.”
Overreliance on technology is stupid.
The cop who shot through the driver's door and hit the woman multiple times? (just a guess)
Just wait until they incorporate it into drones, worse, weaponize the drone with face recognition and send it to seek and destroy, even worse, make a swarm of them to attack the target. Scary tech coming these days and you just know people are already working to pervert it.
The tech is here already, and it was perverted/weaponized from the get-go.
Spending millions of dollars on technology that is going to be switched-off most of the time seems pretty stupid to me.
We have taken out Al Qaeda leaders mainly by tracking cars, but I believe they watch the car to see what the person looks like that gets in the car.
Then it is just a case, in the Al Qaeda leader's we have targeted to make sure no one exits the car and follow the car.
It is more UAV technology now, but the same thing can be done with drones....
