And landing fees....
The price of avoiding TSA pawing over your person and all of your stuff is just one benefit. I would also expect to be able to fly between smaller regional airports which can save a lot of ground commute time if your business has you out a distance from major metro areas.
Most of the business trips I have been on it was more time (as well as cost) effective for me to get a car and drive the whole 8-10 hours than to drive to the airport, catch a commercial plane (be at the airport at least an hour ahead for my TSA gropes), pick up a rental car on arrival then drive the rest of the way. For the high power executive the private jet would get them there, let them get business done and be back again in the time any other option would take just to get them there.
You avoid TSA checks and lines, plus you can fly with your personal hardware still in its holster.
I wouldn’t be surprised if a bunch of these would go to outfits like NetJets. I also knew some vendors with operations in the hinterlands that would fly executives, sales teams and big customers around in their private jets. The market is definitely there and hitting a lower price point just expands that market. Still way, way outside the limits of my humble budget.
So if I buy one of these instead of a Gulf Stream I earn about $10 million...nice, mine is on order... :)
The $10 million saved pays for the VisionJet and leaves me with $8 million...I like that a lot!
Only $1.96 million? For $250K , you can purchase an older model Cessna 421B/C and fly at the same altitudes at 50 knots slower, have more room and save about $1.7M. That's a lot of trips back and forth to Miami.Plus, in the Cessna you won't be flying something with Chinese parts.
Chinese ownership, built in America...with a lot of American ingenuity. I would buy one if it were 'affordable' for me...
“Still way, way outside the limits of my humble budget.”
Me too..
