rand paul loves anything starring rand paul.
and, I don’t think he’s gotten over the butt hurt that trump put on him in the primaries.
With Rand it’s his way or the highway. He cannot support anything short of his plan.
Rand needs to be careful or he could end up being odd man out over this.
You can get mad at me all you want but Rand Paul makes a lot of sense. The whole problem, right now, is that obamacare made it an entitlement to the people and a means of control to politicians.
You like the idea of Obamacare becoming Trumpcare becoming single payer? What exactly did Paul say that you take issue with?
Methinks we have Republican party (GOPe) operatives around here trying to push big government.
So, what happened to all those promises to repeal? Hmm?
The problem is I think a majority of the public (particularly in the rust belt states!) want some sort of government run/managed healthcare/insurance system (You would think pointing the VA would dissuade people of a government run system. It doesn’t in my experience!) Terrible idea but a significant portion of the population wants unicorns & skittles and they are going to be placated somehow

The nut doesn’t fall far from the tree seems to apply here.
If one were to look at Rand Paul’s proposed healthcare legislation, he did propose some, one will find that Rand Paul wants to give the medical industry complete ANTITRUST protection. Why would he want that?? Isn’t healthcare expensive enough, let alone healthcare insurance premiums, without giving the industry protection from true free market forces?? Guess what happens to cost when ANY industry is given such a ‘gift’? Paul’s solution, just like EVERY other plan, ignores the cost of services instead focusing on the method of payment for said services. Just as in any other business, if one doesn’t deal with costs of goods/services, ANY payment scheme will be unstable.
Rue Paul was quoted on Drudge saying “They don’t have the votes”
“They” would of course be the GOP.
Rue Paul is GOP. So why would he say “They” instead of “We”?
Rue Paul is a fraud.
His way or the highway, as some of you put it, means following the Constitution.
To all of those in this forum who say that those of us with principles “make the good the enemy of the perfect”...well more often than not, “the good” has passed, and it has turned out a crap sandwich. Good job!!
It’s a 70 Billion taxpayer dollar payment directly to insurers. I heardon’t the total for the stabilization fraud was 280 Billion. #notjustno.
Rand has been complimentary of Trump several times and has said he was glad Trump was President and not McCain. But most senators love anything starring themselves so you got that right.
Paul is a patriot for doing what he's doing. If this bill passes, we are going to have single-payer.
you keep saying that retarded crap about single payer like it’s some sort of unavoidable consequence of not doing whatever hysterical sh*t you’re screaming about at any given moment.
you need a xanax. or rehab. maybe both.
FReepers supporting this crap sandwich don't care. They are supporting it under the construct that Trump needs a legislative win, so at the end of the year they can proudly feature it in their "Best of" lists for 2017 and then scrounging up change to donate to the same pack of RINOs and telling us we need to hold our noses again in 2018.
The truly sickening, worst aspect of Obamacare Jr. is how it allows GOP Governors to beat their chest and brag that they're providing insurance for the poor without raising their state taxes.
This is crony capitalism on steroids. Goldwater was right. Republicans once they get power just want to be the store managers for the Marxist superstore.

Not really. Some of us have no time for self serving beltway gum flapping from junior Senators.
How come Republicans passed over 60 repeal votes but now are too chicken-s--t to pass it now that they have control of Washington?
Where are the passionate, forceful arguments for market-based healthcare, personal responsibility and returning it back to the states?
You want to get a "win," but all that's going to happen is that the Left will unleash their propaganda machine and blame Trump for the Obamacare screwups over the last 7.5 years.
Exactly what about the Senate crap sandwich do you like? What about what Senator Paul said did you not agree with?
