Glad to see this study being published on CNBC. I’m a Kentuckian and prefer that the riff raff that watch and believe fake news get the message that we don’t want them here.
Kentucky sucks because of a “lack of inclusion” but is good for it’s low crime rate. Other “more inclusive” states have higher crime rates. Coincidence?
10. KENTUCKY 9. NEW MEXICO (tie) 9. TENNESSEE (tie) 7. MISSISSIPPI 6. INDIANA 5. MISSOURI 4. ARKANSAS 3. OKLAHOMA 2. LOUISIANA 1. ALABAMA
“...Connecticut...”
I noticed Illinois was conveniently left off the list. The state is bankrupt and Chicago crime rates alone probably outweigh the entire 9th place state of New Mexico, which, according to the poll...”Per capita, (NM) has one of the highest violent-crime rates in the country.”
BS poll from another fake news source.
So if you like junk food and would rather keep your and your kid’s distance from both the flaming perverts and gender loons your state is less livable?
The Gaystapo and food police are on the march again.
Bingo. With the exception of New Mexico, you could turn this list upside down to find 9 desirable states to live in. The number one criteria in this opinion piece is whether or not sexual freaks have special privileges above ordinary citizens.
What happened to BANKRUPT ILLINOIS? That by default should be the number one worst state in which to live.
How many points are taken off of CNBC's home state for this mass murder of language structure?
Once I recognized the criteria I was disappointed that Texas wasn’t in there.
I guess we can blame Austin, Dallas and a few other Democrat strongholds for that failing.
Don’t move to my state either. Horrible place! :)
Illinois and Chicago are great. The govt is broke but the primary crime problem is about 20 square miles or so.
Illinois is home of the Cubs. Nuff said.
I think these kind of lists need to be separated between working people and retired people.
When I retire, there is no way I'm living in Connecticut. Most likely I'll be purchasing my retirement home in the Carolinas or Virginia. But I'd never be able to duplicate my salary there, nor will there be as many opportunities. So I have to suck it up for now while I'm still making a living.
Stay clear of Albuquerque and New Mexico is really a very pleasant state.
Illinois should have been on the list for sure. A bankrupt state that has the city with the highest murder rate in the nation.
Thank you...didn’t want to visit the site.
The list was comprised by a liberal siting the least liberal states. My Missouri was listed as 5th worst, but only because it doesn’t coddle to lgbt weird-o’s. Survey based on smoking, lgbt acceptance, and other liberal ideas, not on high taxes, fewer freedoms, etc.
The general CNBC take is: If you are a conservative state, you suck. If you are a liberal state, it’s utopia.
Got it.
Thanks. Good to know. That's the story with a lot of states. Certain areas attract the grifters, punks, parasites, and low lifes: South Florida, NOLA, Chicago.
I was shocked earlier this year when I traveled through southern Illinois. Beaautiful, clean, with decent hard working people. To think they share their state with Chicago is mind boggling.
How far we have fallen when treating everybody equally is viewed as a stain on a society (state).
