Quality of Life is worth a possible 300 out of 2,500 total points in the study, based on the Top States methodology and sources. Data doesn’t lie? Like the House seats NYS has lost over the last 5 decades? Like the number of jobs and taxpayers fleeing the state? The billions in assets that have gone with them?

You're probably right insofar as political corruption is concerned. It's all about trading goodies for votes with the cretins in Trenton, Camden, Elizabeth and Newark. However, parts of the state are stunningly beautiful, especially Somerset, Morris, Warren and Sussex counties.
