It is way past time for the Republicans to demand that Yertl the Turtle allow a vote to eliminate the filibuster rule. There is nothing in the Constitution that requires a 60 vote supermajority to pass legislation. The filibuster has become a danger to the proper functioning of government and is denying all Republicans in this country their Constitutional rights to see the agenda of their duly elected representatives advanced without undue delay.

Pass the Bill without the Cruz Amendment, then post his Amendment as a separate new Bill. If it doesn’t get 60 Votes because of the Democrats, hang them with it.
