Not true. Some policies don't, but other do, if the insured has paid for the policy for some minimum number of years (usually 2-3). Just had this discussion on another thread.
Interesting, I’d never heard that..... I’d think that gives a perverse incentive for some people to consider suicide, even if they have to plan ahead at least 2-3 yrs. Or it might come up for some ppl unexpectedly after life setbacks etc. (”oh I have this policy, my family will be well taken care of if I off myself now” etc etc).
