Bush and Clinton lecture Trump: Ex-presidents hit out at Donald with jabs about 'humility' [Trunc]

George W Bush and Bill Clinton both took apparent jabs at Donald Trump at a forum on Thursday night as they named the one characteristic a president needed above all others.

The two former presidents were speaking at a graduation ceremony for the Presidential Leadership Scholars program at the George W Bush Presidential Center in Dallas.

Bush replied ‘humility’ in answer to the question about presidential qualities, and added – ‘I think it's really important to know what you don't know and listen to people who do know what you don't know.’

Clinton said anyone holding the highest office in the land needs to keep focused on their goals.

‘Realize it's about the people, not you,’ he said. ‘A lot of these people who are real arrogant in office, they forget.

'You don't want to say, “God, look at all those people I beat”’.

The Bush clan was never conservative. Ronald Reagan made the initial mistake when he let the east coast liberals talk him into selecting George Bush Sr. as his Veep instead of the conservative he wanted, Paul Laxalt from NV. When you “balance the ticket” with a Liberal, you are in trouble.

“Clinton said anyone holding the highest office in the land needs to keep focused on their goals.”

Yeah, but I didn’t know Slick getting laid in the Oral Office was a “goal!”
These two feckless turds should go away and never be heard from again.

“Bush replied ‘humility’ in answer to the question about presidential qualities...”

Yes, but “humility” isn’t acting like a cowering dog just lying down on the floor and putting all four legs in the air! And It also isn’t allowing thousands of our young people to be killed in Iraq and Afghanistan while pi$$ing away $billions “nation building,” without a winning strategy. GWB is probably worse than Slick when it comes to causing the needless deaths of our young and the loss of the money he borrowed from the Chinese.

When large numbers of citizens of other countries move into your country without permission and take over chunks of it with their language, customs and culture that is not immigration, that is colonization.

Making sure the government does nothing about it is treason.

GW Bush was a humble man who has much to be humble about; for instance, starting unnecessary wars that were unbelievably expensive in lives and treasure. If he were truly humble, he should volunteer in a veterans hospital on a weekly basis.

Yeah, Bill was so humble of the Oval Office, that he used it as the base for his sexual trysts, getting BJ's from a girl young enough to be his daughter, not to mention ensconcing her as his own personal humidor in that same room.

And the Clintons were so humble of the office that they destroyed the life of Billy Dale, accusing him of embezzling money from the White House Travel Office, and siccing the FBI on him.

They were so humble of the office that they sold access to the White House to political donors, ie., selling nights in the Lincoln Bedroom, holding White House coffee klatches with Bill Clinton. The coffee klatches alone brought in $27 million dollars for their future political ambitions.

And the Clintons were so humble of the Presidential Office, that they used their White House position to tap into Indonesian and Chinese connections to fill their political coffers with illegal foreign money.

Of course there are so many more scandals and illegal activities that Bill and Hillary have participated in through the years, all too numerous to mention, that continue unabated, up to this very day.

I think it’s rather arrogant to lecture someone else publicly about improving their humility.

Bush doesnt get it... Humility is for people who need it. Also, When you deal with an overcritical environment (like Trump) a good way to counter act is supreme confidence (for a lot of reasons).

George W Bush and Bill Clinton both took apparent jabs at Donald Trump at a forum on Thursday night as they named the one characteristic a president needed above all others.

Both Bush and Clinton, in their own ways, were presidents far removed from the "forgotten man."

They are talking nonsense while President Trump continues to carry out his agenda to support the forgotten man and make America Great Again.

Bush was too influenced by special interests. Clinton was not ashamed of being corrupt as he took our country closer to socialism and worse. The Clintons put the forgotten man in jail if he got in their way.

Bush who never uttered a word about the Obamass has commentary on Trump? Here is some commentary for you Bush: STFU.

When I voted for DJT, I did not vote because I wanted a humble person, or dormat like you to the liberal cause, I wanted someone who was the president of the US first and foremost.

The only good point of this article is I was wondering what happened to Billy Boy who has not been on the scene for quite some time. In fact, I commented to my wife he has been so absent, I thought he was about to expire. Too bad my vision was incorrect.
