What percent of policies or companies do that?
I thought there had been attempts of some people to “disguise” a suicide as a car accident or similar, because the policy would not pay out?
And I thought insurance companies investigate before a large payout?

All the companies I know of do it.

There’s a two year clause though, which doesn’t start until you get policy in your hand.

Yeats ago a man had it planned out and committed suicide two years from his sign up date, and he was two days early. No payout. Stupid on so many levels.

I am unaware of any company which doesn’t pay for suicides. The idea being that people don’t pre plan those things, and if you’re currently suicidal, that’s why they have the two year clause.
