Key GOP senator: Why was Russian lawyer tied to Trump Jr. scandal in US?
The Hill ^

Posted on 07/11/2017 9:31:25 PM PDT by TigerClaws

Sen. Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa) is asking top Trump administration officials to explain why a Russian lawyer who met with Donald Trump Jr. last year was allowed in the country.

Grassley, who chairs the Senate Judiciary Committee, sent a letter to Homeland Security Secretary John Kelly and Secretary of State Rex Tillerson asking why Natalia Veselnitskaya was allowed to stay in the country when, according to court documents, she had to leave in early 2016.

"It is unclear how she was still in the country for that meeting despite being denied a visa beforehand and her parole purportedly expiring on January 7, 2016. This raises serious questions about whether the Obama administration authorized her to remain in the country, and if so, why?" Grassley wrote.

Senator Grassley is great. He has been supportive of Trump (for the most part) since well before the election.

When he was “new” to D.C. back in the day (some of you may not remember)...he was the one who was all on about $1000 toilet seats & similar Gov. corruption.

I have emailed him several times about issues of concern. EVERY TIME, I have received a 2 or 3 page letter...obviously written by him (he as a “style”..read his twitter account...lol). He is a very important ally in this battle that we are fighting; I hope that President Trump will recognize this (perhaps he already does). The Senator doesn’t run to the camera; but when he does say something, it tends to be worth a listen...and he is very, very crafty notwithstanding his “folksy” demeanor.

Please, read the link (the whole thread) that I posted in the thread above yours. If you agree that it contains important information, please, forward it to Sen Grassely.

>>>At some point we are going to have to stop putting any sort of hope, faith and trust in anyone of the GOP.<<<

LOL why have you held out hope? I supported Cruz bc I felt he was the most stubborn small government guy. But heck, Rand Paul is pretty stubborn too. Why is because you pretty much need a guy to not give a care what is “popular” and start to obey the constitution and have smaller government. Trump has always underwhelmed me bc he was more talk than substance. During the campaign you never knew what repeal and replace was. It was whatever you wanted it to be imho. Look how quickly Trump was to declare the repeal and replace plan the house passed to be a really good bill.

Now I mention this because even a modest change in obamacare can’t muster 50 votes in the Senate. Apparently they are only capable of voting to repeal it when they know the president will veto the bill.

Just what I was going to ask. What time zone is this guy living in? Last year Donald Trump Sr. and his son were Joe Q. Public, US citizens with absolutely zero connection to Washington and the White house. Trump was just a guy running for President. Obama and his socialist mafiosa on the other hand were running the entire farm

Don't replace Sessions, simply find him an aggressive smart new assistant.

Top of the AG should be a policy level job. How many people work at the US AG Office?

I'm not defending his ‘apparent’ laid back approach. Just saying we need to focus on the enemy. The enemy is not the US.

Early loyalty to Trump and solid legal knowledge are part of it. Until Eric Holder the AG was not a weaponized suicide instrument.

Nobody in DC and I think I can even say Ghomert would not support the nomination process of Levin even though he is a Congressman. Just imagine the howls from the patsies in the Senate.

Check your auto-correct.

You are misspelling “headline”.

It is spelled “click bait”.

With the invention of the 9/11 laws on terrorism, Washington can invent all sorts of "citizen crimes," crimes after the event like using your own momey to purchase something you want, that costs more than $10,000, or for you to withdraw more than $10,000 of your own money from your own bank account!

Of course, then there's the little matter of our giving cash to someone for whatever reason we choose, that's now potentially a "crime" but don't dare think they would be guilty, nope, just us serfs and peasants!

There's no doubt about it anymore, government IS a criminal enterprise and the worst part about it is, they treat us as though we are the criminals, unless or until we can prove otherwise, if they choose to believe us!!!

If you don't believe that, Donald J. Trump and his family are shining examples of it because he dared to enter politics without the permission of the swamp dwellers!

The reason I held out hope is because I was stupid enough to believe their lies.

Trump has shown himself to be far more conservative than any of the pretend conservatives in the GOP. He has taken more action than any of them ever.

They are all fake.

“Now I mention this because even a modest change in obamacare can’t muster 50 votes in the Senate. Apparently they are only capable of voting to repeal it when they know the president will veto the bill.”

That’s right.

They are liars. They don’t do anything other than lie.

They have to go.
