...pretty sure that’s what our satellites provide. They detect launches, determine trajectory, etc. - feed that into a response system and you’re good to go.
Given the Israeli “Iron Dome” system I’ve no doubt that such capability is feasible.
Still, a demo with days or weeks to prepare for a launch at a known time from a known location, towards a known target is not quite the same as for an unexpected hostile act with a 45 minute notice-to-intercept threshold.
And an enemy never attacks when it’s convenient...
...or expected!
