It is amazing. In spite of the very cold reception of Erdgoan the Islamist at the G20 conference, before he was back home in Turkey, he was shelling and bombing Efrin (Afrin) in Syria. All night long.

In the face of an incredible 2 million person demonstration in Istanbul aimed at him, Erdogan just keeps doubling down.

It is time to carve out an enclave around Adana and Incirlik and down to the coast, colonize it, and put Turkiye in some sort of time-out room in NATO, not kick it out altogether, but to let the Turks come to their senses. It could happen. Turkiye still has a relatively large pro-Western middle class and perhaps there are enough rational officers left in the army to make a real change, rather than another an Erdogan sparked false move.
