I think Ukraine is mostly Ukrainian Orthodox with their patriarch in Kiev. It was Christian longer then Russia.

Yes, there are some Catholics in the western region of Galicia, but they’re mostly UNIATE or GREEK CATHOLIC-in religious practice mostly the same as the Orthodox, but in communion with Rome.
