If you look at the stats from CSA sites, female.perpetrators make up between 1 in 5 to 1 in 3. Not enough difference to not require surveillance.

I used to babysit a 1 year old...(I was 25 and it was my ex girlfriend’s twin boys). Nothing wrong with it...if the person is normal!!!!

What I read, it’s actually 89%. Still an unacceptable number. I’ll agree that child molestation is heinous and deserving of the death penalty, but, let’s look at some numbers. As of the last census, there are 119,000,000 males in the US. An abuse professional estimates 1-5% of the population abuses children. That includes sexual, physical, emotional and other forms. So let’s assume the 1% number for child molesters and for your postulation, let’s wipe out all females form this. 1% of 119,000,000 is 1,2 million abusers.
Further, according to a CDC/Kaiser Permanente study, 20.7% of abuse is sexual in nature, reducing the number from 1.2 million by 21% gives us a number of 252,000 abusers in the US.
So, your broad brush labeled 98% of the make population as suspect.
I remember being a hormone filled teenage boy. According to one study, teenage boys, on average, think about sex roughly every 50 secons. Throw in readily accessible porn and a certain twisting will happen in a significant enough portion that it makes sense to avoid the risk.

I’ve caught heat for this, but my policy is to never allow my children to be alone with a male, ever, except for my dad and father in law.
No uncles or cousins, sorry, and if that makes me a bad person, then I’m a bad person whose daughters are at a lower risk of molestation.
The very last concern is that I may offend someone, because, well, life is not a popularity contest. Somebody please inform my wife of this. Her Pollyanna worldview is gonna get us all killed and/or molested, IMO.

Do you really think so low of males? And what about women? The idea that women don’t think about sex as often is a lie. Who do you think makes up a majority of the customers for the sex toy industry? Seen any women’s magazines? They are equally as sexually active think about s x as much as men and this false notion of female prudishness and innate virtue is a lie and does not represent reality. It’s pervasive in conservative circles.
As a 4 year old, I was molested by a female babysitter. My parents and the churches reaction, no big deal. The perpetrator went unpunished. This is overwhelmingly the case when dealing with female pedos. Excuses are made and it’s swept under the rug. Studies and statistics for female abusers are lacking because of the status and privilege given to women by western society. Its wrong and it does real damage and the automatic assumption of male guilt is equally as damaging.
It’s interesting what hasn’t been mentioned here or noticed and that’s the fact this is a single mom leaving her child with a friend. This was not a babysitter. Notice the child father was not referred to as husband. Where is her responsibility in this? What was she doing that she left her child with a friend? How well did she know this guy and why did she not take the child to its father?
Clearly this is a sore subject for me. I’m a single dad of a 5 yr old girl. It isn’t easy nor do I need it to be, but it’s rough at times when I’m assumed to be a threat because I have a dick. I’ve been questioned by police for the crime of taking my daughter to a park and watching her play. When people ask about my divorce, there’s always an assumption I screwed up, that I cheated or somehow it was my fault. I caught my ex cheating and when confronted, she walked and abandoned myself and my daughter for months leaving me to work a full time job and take care of a very confused and devastated child alone. I’m not alone either. There are millions of men like me, many much worse off, who have been abandoned and demonized by society. We are expected to die, to be utilities, and to protect the very same nations that deny our rights. Men and boys deserve respect and anti male bias is a major and personal issue. Without men, strong men of character and leadership, this country will fail.
I realize this a long reply but it hit a nerve. The Left isn’t standing up for men. Nobody is. While we don’t need handouts or hand holding, we don’t don’t deserve the crap we get from Western culture and it’s only going to lead to men dropping out. It’s already happening.
