Yeah. I’m hopeful that the close call gave him the incentive to be more careful.
Of course, if he really is a demon, I hope the failure in his mission earns him a prompt recall!
God is patient; He has a grand schedule for things that all our hurry and worry can’t transcend.
Satan goes into the lake of fire, according to the Christian biblical book of Revelation. And so will human souls that insisted on clinging to Satan to the bitter end.
Finding ourselves bitter (unable to release distresses to the care of God) is a sign of having clung to Satan. God can still dissolve that bond. Trusting in His offer of salvation through the Son is the means.
As an aside, and I hope I don’t confuse, the question might arise, what about Jewish people. Well, all Christians used to be Jews. The baton passed almost entirely to Gentiles after Jews found out that a worldly salvation from worldly foes wasn’t always guaranteed by Jesus, and soured on the idea. In modern times? Well some receive an unmistakable conviction about Jesus before they die. Others might still be in the Old Testament condition, where the Savior was met after death (but Christians debate the interpretation of the details from the bible — for example, it is appointed unto all to die and then the judgment). At any rate you got a witness now. If you get a Spirit too, don’t ignore Him. He’s inviting you to go to heaven, starting with earth.
