Only thing is, the child is likely to die soon anyway, if no new treatment is provided. If Charlie happened to die while in American custody, however well meant our motives, the Americans and Trump in particular would be blamed for his ‘tragic and untimely’ demise. It’s a very delicate situation.
All our president can really do is wait and see if the British Medical system will give consent and assistance in a safe transfer of the patient. We cannot just invade and abduct, which is what they would call the action.
