McConnell signals doubts about ObamaCare vote

Acknowledging that Senate Republicans may not be able to pass their ObamaCare repeal legislation, Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) is warning that action will then have to be taken to stabilize insurance markets.

“If my side is unable to agree on an adequate replacement, then some kind of action with regard to private health insurance markets must occur,” McConnell said at a Rotary Club meeting in Kentucky on Thursday, according to multiple reports.

Republicans are trying to move legislation through the Senate that would repeal and replace ObamaCare, but they face opposition from within their own party.

Or is a ploy to get the fractured GOP to move a bit to the middle and make a deal. Basically from a negotiation perspective, he is walking away. Just like when you buy a car and try and walk out of the dealership. Sales manager gets between you and the door to work the deal saying we are close. He caves on price, you cave on color - deal.

Put together a repeal deal and let the moderate GOP RINO's be the ones to refuse to sign on to it!

That plan would work better if the Majority Leader weren't the chief RINO.

“If my side is unable to agree on an adequate replacement, then some kind of action with regard to private health insurance markets must occur,” McConnell said at a Rotary Club meeting in Kentucky on Thursday...

Absolute BS! The federal government has never been given the power to regulate any insurance let alone require its use. Therefore, it has authority to implement any "replacement" for the unconstitutional Obamacare.

The only true action the federal government can take with regards to Obamacare is to repeal it. Then it's up to the states and the market to sort out the mess that Congress made, Usurper Obama signed, and the Supreme Court upheld.

Following repeal without replacement, the next order of Congressional business should be to impeach, convict, and remove every federal jurist who upheld this unconstitutional act hiding under color of law.

Let’s face it - the GOP establishment doesn’t really want to eliminate Obamacare.

It’s not their money so they would rather weasel out of their promises so they can’t be accused of being heartless and taking medical care away from freeloaders.

That's why they wanted Hillary to win, so they could continue the charade and not have to be blamed for when everything went down the proverbial crapper. With Hillary in the White House, they could keep the gravy train going for them of course (solid gold health care, diamond pensions, good consulting gigs when they left public service, etc.).

Gutless Ryan and Turtle Face together don’t possess a “pair!” The Deplorables need to organize and demand that both eunuchs step down and let “real men” do the heavy lifting in support of President Trump’s MAGA agenda. They MUST get on the Trump Train or get the hell out of the way and that goes for all of the GOP eunuchs and obstructionists in Congress.

If you paint the horse a different color it is still the same horse. Time to kill it and start over.

If I were Trump I would hang by their own petard all the Republicans who don't step up. If they try to pass a stop-gap measure to prop up the insurance markets he should refuse to sign it, and then use social media to put all of the blame on those Republicans who didn't have the integrity to repeal Obamacare.

Leaders shouldn’t be useless, and McConnell clearly is. We need a hard-ass in there, and clearly McConnell isn’t cutting it.

“Gutless Ryan and Turtle Face together don’t possess a “pair!””

Ryan is being held hostage, to some extent, by a woman from Wisconsin who became a filthy rich billionaire by sucking up to democrats and the Obama administration and getting her pathetic electronic medical record (EMR) program, Epic, promoted as ‘the choice’ for compliance with government EMR mandates. They've charged individual hospitals upwards of $250,000,000 to put this joke of a program in place, and have become the third biggest revenue generator in Ryan's home state of Wisconsin. He's compromised. I have zero doubt that a group of FReepers with IT experience could go on a drinking binge and put together a better EMR than Epic.

McConnell signals *he will go around conservatives*.

The danger was always that the Senate would send a bill to the House that would appeal to the Dems so House conservatives’ votes wouldn’t be needed.
It’s been the process since Republicans gained control of the Chambers.

“I knew you would RINOs, you always do.”

I think Trump would veto it and demand an ‘out’ for states from Obamacare+.

McConnell: “...some kind of action with regard to private health insurance markets must occur...”

In other words, the government MUST control PRIVATE health insurance....

McConnell is inept. He’s got to go. We can not have him as the senate majority leader.

Fully agree. Call for a vote and force the cowards to put their names down yea or nay.

Dammit McConnell, be a LEADER for once in your life.

Let it collapse

Short of a full repeal, the GOP will own any remnants of the "ACA" that it retains.
