I mostly agree. However, I paid a LOT into social security over my lifetime. Thanks to a divorce, it is the main part of my retirement plan I will exercise in two years. And I’ll be able to live comfortably on it in my state. Very comfortably if I get my house paid off first.

I,too, am going to be needing that Social Secuirty check in my time since the government has taken I forget how much and given it to people older than me AND, especially in the last decade,to many “disabled” who really aren’t.
