Interpol removes Turkey from database

Interpol has removed Turkey from its database after Ankara uploaded a list of 60,000 people sought over suspected links to what Turkish prosecutors call the “Fethullahist Terrorist Organization (FETO),” the Hurriyet Daily News reports.

The decision to suspend Turkey’s access to the database of sought individuals came after the July 2016 coup attempt.

According to the daily, Turkey uploaded the names of suspected members of FETO, widely believed to have been behind the thwarted coup, after they fled abroad.

Interpol allegedly said the issue constituted “an issue of trust.”

The Interpol database, which includes passport information of the sought individuals, enables countries to detain suspects after their passport numbers are determined on the system. Interpol’s decision has blocked Gülenist suspects’ passport numbers to be shown on the system.

I wanted to nuke them back when the coup attempt was happening.

Emergency evac our folks and detonate our nukes once they are clear of ‘Danger Close”. Tell the Kurd’s they can have it all.

Well, it’s good that Interpol is not going to assist Erdogan in his purge.

If Turkey is pushed out of NATO, which I don’t think will happen, even though it should, Erdogan will make a deal with Putin.

Putin may be playing Erdogan. He still remembers Erdogan shooting down his pilot and the Russian Ambassador murdered.

Do you believe Putin simply forgot them?

Putin is playing chess game that Erdogan is ill equipped to compete with.

“We should kill Erdogan. This is absurd.”

I read a paper on the most important assassinations throughout history. In not one of the cited cases did the assassin achieve what he wanted. In most cases, the opposite happened.

Turkey is a failed economic mess. They were supporting a successful-state lifestyle with loans from other Arab countries, when they were not, by any measure, a successful state. Now that money has dried up and Turkey’s economy has tanked. Everything we know, publically and militarily, that Erdogan attempted to do in Syria has failed. He is down to blackmailing Germany with allowing, or not, refugees to flee from Turkey into Europe.

There are approximately four major ethnic groups only one of which, I believe, supports Erdogan. Turkey is ripe to implode in an ethnic civil war at any moment. All of this has been exacerbated by the “coup” attempt’s aftermath of mass arrests and probable executions. Fully seventy thousand left Turkey for extended stays elsewhere or as refugees.

As a cautionary note to Europe, you ain’t seen ‘nuthin’ yet. Those ethnic refugees will likely continue the civil war wherever they encounter each other in Europe. Oh, and talk about refugees, try the hundreds of thousands or possibly millions that civil war would cause.

Assassination is a dangerous path.

I agree that Putin has not forgotten, but would use Turkey in the chess game that Putin is playing if beneficial to Russia.

All Putin does is beneficial to he and Russia.

I believe at some level Putin likes the Kurds. They are the most honest players in this mess, not sure that is Putin’s motive for treating them well in general.

Anyone sane who observes what is happening can see that Kurds are the only force that has the slightest human concern. (yes, I know they are leftist.)

So, here we are.

The best possible solution would be an independent Kurdistan carved from Iraq, Syria and Turkey.
None of those countries will agree to it.
Iraq has allowed them autonomy to a large degree.
Assad might be forced by circumstances to make a similar deal.
Erdogan would rather just wipe out the Kurds.
