Looting, burning, murdering, raping, robbing, shooting at cops aren't "erratic" or "irrational" behaviors -- they're CRIMES and THAT is why the alt-left is destroying the Democrat Party.
The American public has now rightfully equated the Democrat Party with criminals. This is what you (Democrats) get when you embrace BLM.

I live in a town of about 16,000 and is very evident even here.
We don’t know how it will play out but it will get uglier. I can’t see how we can avoid bloodshed because our side is fed up and won’t take much more.
Unfortunately, because of their disintegrated mode of thought, which has not changed, they still have the same ideas that they always have had, namely, emotionalism, altruism, collectivism, one world government statism, socialism, and mass dependency.

The main play of the liberals is to fuel resentment, a sense of victimization, and entitlement. This is a recipe for violence. They shouldn’t feign surprise when it happens.
