I, like you, also experienced the “hospitality” of the Marines who ran the Third Naval District Brig in Brooklyn NY. I spent 10 days there in 1961, but came out more muscled and fit than I had been before. Calesthenics and only 3 smokes a day, cold showers, rusty blades to shave, etc.
I think Bowe would just grow as a person and become the person that he should have been with the guidance and “Hospitality” of those Marines you met Third Naval District Brig in Brooklyn NY or the Marines that entertained me 32nd Street San Diego.
I think it may take his entire Life to see the light but I do hope he is afforded this once in a lifetime and well deserved Transfer to a Permanent Duty Station that has a Staff that is prepared and willing to address and accommodate his every need 24/7/365.

Lee is a Genuine Grade A USA Patriot and I have never known another man that could make so many Grown assed Tough Men standing together Cry (OK just Uncontrollable Tears) and sing along while doing so ... Lee did this with just a microphone, canned music and The Message/Song.
He was and as far as I know still blown away how his little “Simple” Song changed his life forever. I met set up his stage and watched him perform twice in the mid 80’s and yep still get the water works.
