“Today, so many choices, but many reflecting a single point of view, easier than ever to limit the ones we listen to, often leaving us in so-called echo chambers,”

Not here. I get lots of lib links, not much choice. I am required to be on Facebook for two organizations and get a variety of stuff. The fake stuff is easy to pick apart with a little logic. I also listen to lots of NPR and get more practice. Their problem is to the bias (which is obvious) but laziness. They are fat dumb and happy.

Fake news is a favorite term

Fake News doesn't really describe the main problem

The failure to cover the lies corruption and crimes of the democrats

Just trying to shape opinion rather than reporting news.

It’s what they do.

I can count all the conservative media people on my fingers. Even middle of the road is rare.

Thomas Jefferson's views on the importance of a free press are well known. Nevertheless, Jefferson was well aware of the dark under belly of a segment of the press which might set itself up, as he called it, "to serve the ministers" of a "despotic government."

Note that in the last of the following quotations on the subject, Jefferson noted, "But the fact being once established, that the press is impotent when it abandons itself to falsehood," he declared, "I leave to others to restore it to its strength by recalling it within the pale of truth."

"[A despotic] government always [keeps] a kind of standing army of newswriters who, without any regard to truth or to what should be like truth, [invent] and put into the papers whatever might serve the ministers. This suffices with the mass of the people who have no means of distinguishing the false from the true paragraphs of a newspaper." --Thomas Jefferson to G. K. van Hogendorp, Oct. 13, 1785. (*) ME 5:181, Papers 8:632

"[I have seen] repeated instances of the publication of what has not been intended for the public eye, and the malignity with which political enemies torture every sentence from me into meanings imagined by their own wickedness only... Not fearing these political bull-dogs, I yet avoid putting myself in the way of being baited by them, and do not wish to volunteer away that portion of tranquillity, which a firm execution of my duties will permit me to enjoy." --Thomas Jefferson to John Norvell, 1807. ME 11:226

"Conscious that there was not a truth on earth which I feared should be known, I have lent myself willingly as the subject of a great experiment, which was to prove that an administration, conducting itself with integrity and common understanding, cannot be battered down even by the falsehoods of a licentious press, and consequently still less by the press as restrained within the legal and wholesome limits of truth. This experiment was wanting for the world to demonstrate the falsehood of the pretext that freedom of the press is incompatible with orderly government. I have never, therefore, even contradicted the thousands of calumnies so industriously propagated against myself. But the fact being once established, that the press is impotent when it abandons itself to falsehood, I leave to others to restore it to its strength by recalling it within the pale of truth. Within that, it is a noble institution, equally the friend of science and of civil liberty." --Thomas Jefferson to Thomas Seymour, 1807. ME 11:155

Why are they giving “conservative media” credit for Obama’s legacy? The Kenyan is the one who created a “polarized country” here.

Bathouse Barry also said re: Republicans “If they bring a knife to a fight, we bring a gun.” How presidential of him.

These vile snowflakes were just fine with the decapitated head and the “Julius Caesar” outrage. If they’re worried about their personal safety, they should be. The’ve been fanning the flames of hate and violence towards DJT all along.

President Trump called out NBC Concast in two Friday tweets, one about Greta and the other about scarred-bro berzerkski.

Looks like NBC Concast is starting to feel the heat, and they’re now lashing out, albeit in a flailing way.

They can’t stand it that they no longer have a monopoly on messaging.

And now with Trump’s devastating obliteration of their credibility, their only future audience is going to be the completely whacked out extreme left.

Fake news is a favorite term, as you know, of President Trump.

NBC, so behind the times. Not only do they publish fake news, but also obsolete news.

The new favorite term of President Trump is "fraudulent news".

NBC Decries Rise of Conservative Media for Creating Polarized Country...you bet - so much better for NBC in the old days when everybody had to believe exactly what they did - or be ignored - how inconvenient now that people who don't see things just as they do actually get to have a say - oh, for those good old days.....

What you consider real and fake in many cases has become a question of where you're sitting and who you're listening to

Actually, its a question of which "news" sources have to retract and/or correct their statements on a consistent and ongoing basis.

The “rise of Conservative media” did not CREATE polarization in the country, it is an outcome of it. The extreme polarization existed BEFORE Obama was elected, and got worse while Obama was in office. How could the media not see it? They exist in their own bubble, a bubble in which they were cheerleaders for many things that helped polarize the nation so much.
