A question that the pro pot movements needed to consider: by making it “medicine” and not a recreational product, like beer, every single variety will need thorough and complete - multi year - studies to determine efficacy and safety.

It is a drug now, and just like any new, experimental medication, each variety/brand/grade will need extensive Federal review and approval for sale and use.

If I were a Doctor I would be stupid to Rx some random - origin and transport unknown - medicine to a patient. When you are sued by the surviving family what study of efficacy do you provide the Courts? You may even be criminally liable if a Sheriff is smart enough to send it to the Feds; which I would do.
