More fake news! Like Mary Jane is not available on the street ?????
Read the article: "he refused to take marijuana that wasn't tested for impurities".

It was delayed because they hadnt tested it enough. How much testing do you need for pot? Usually a sniff and a couple of puffs will tell you all you need to know.
A question that the pro pot movements needed to consider: by making it medicine and not a recreational product, like beer, every single variety will need thorough and complete - multi year - studies to determine efficacy and safety.Read the article: the awaited testing was for impurities

THC does interrupt cachexia very effectively.
While that by itself is not a cure, it makes room for a real cure, but the establishment doesn’t want a cure unless they can make billions off of it.

“this story is either spectacularly retarded, or criminally propagandistic.”
Dude, you have to be very stoned to ‘get it’.
lol

Exactly pot won’t extend your life 1 minute, might make that minute more tolerable. Pot won’t cure all ills or relieve all pains.

toke on, stoner. your kids will be serving my kids’ fries, that is if your brain isn’t so clogged with bong resin that your nads haven’t shriveled.
and it’s unsurprising that you defend legal pot and ACA.

Years ago a friend mines mom tried pot to offset the effects the chemo she was getting for her breast cancer. She smoked some, still got sick.
Pot isn't a particularly powerful drug. If you are experiencing something like acute nausea from chemo, a one-shot smoking session is not going to stop you from getting sick. Where it might help is repeated use over the course of the chemo, where nausea and other discomfort are reduced to manageable levels, or if manageable already, relieved. Disclaimer: I'm not a doctor or anything.
Another thing about pot is that it takes some getting used to, and while you can't physically overdose on it, you can have a dramatically unpleasant experience if you take too much, especially when you are not accustomed to its effects. Plus the pot they grow now is ridiculously strong, so much so that a puff or two would probably do it for quite a while, and when one of these dispensary places makes THC-laced treats, "edibles", they make them STRONG. A first-timer who gobbles down something waiting for sweet, peaceful relief might find him or herself stressing out over a strong reaction AND dealing with whatever ailment originally drove them to try pot in the first place.
The good news is that, when done carefully, pot can provide a lot of relief for a number of problems, and for whatever drawbacks it may have, it is still better than getting hooked on vicodin or oxycontin.

Haven't touched it in over 20 years.
your kids will be serving my kids fries,
My son is making six figures as a data analyst/database engineer, and my daughter is in her final year of a doctoral program in physical therapy. What do your kids do?
that is if your brain isnt so clogged with bong resin
The $10B technology company that employs me as a data scientist doesn't think so.
and its unsurprising that you defend legal pot
Of course - it's the liberty-respecting position.
and ACA.
No, I attacked it ... what's clogging your brain?

The headline hints at a causal relationship where none exists.
That being said, my mom died of inoperable cancer. Every time we went to visit her, her machinery was beeping (either she needed liquid food or more morphine).
They were stingy on the morphine, citing addiction concerns. (!!!) My mom had about a week to live. I say, load them up so they are not in pain.
They just don’t want to spend the money. I wonder how much morphine costs.
If people have to spend their last days in terrible pain, so be it. But to those who make those decisions, what goes around comes around.

I personally would not want pot during my last days...I tried it in high school (about 40 years ago) and it made me so paranoid; I thought no one liked me, etc. It heightens every weakness you have.
I wouldn't want my mind to be filled with negative thoughts and fears as I walk down the path to meet my Maker.
