For the most part, I blame The New York Times and The Washington Post for causing this breakdown. The two leading liberal newspapers were trying to top each other in their demonization of Trump and his supporters. And Trump is making the contrast even more obvious by relentlessly picking at the media and the Left to get them to act out.
Maxine Waters is the leading voice of the Left's response to Trump's needling. She is becoming the face of the Left...and it isn't a pretty face.
