The president has a huge impact on the country’s political culture. Trump’s misuse of the bully pulpit ensures that that impact is negative in his case. So, he did it again. As we’ve learned countless times since his inauguration, President Trump is the exact same person as celebrity Trump and candidate Trump. He’s crass, vicious, and petty. This morning, he tweeted this:

Trump’s tweets are now, and always have been, strategically designed to focus the enemy on his WORDS while his ACTIONS move from victory to victory.

I know everyone says that but I wonder - is it just us, his loyal supporters, slanting these tweets to make them appear to be part of a plan? I guess time will tell...if he gets health insurance revamped and gets the tax cuts through then maybe that's evidence there's a method to this.

I think we all understand his justifiable anger - he's been stabbed in the back by a lot of people who previously were kissing up to him. I'm just not sure that tweeting personal insults is the answer. On the other hand...it isn't like we didn't know that Trump will fight - and he will probably be one of history's outstanding Presidents. But this whole brouhaha just seems unnecessary.

The incredible power of political correctness has for too long gone unchallenged by a major figure. We have observed decent people grovel and even moved to tears, as the vile press smelled blood. So powerful is this Orwellian tactic, persons have had their jobs taken away . Their reputations bruised and they have been hurt mentally.
