I can’t speak for urban Germany because I have no frame of reference, but I can tell you what is likely to happen in rural Germany the first time one of the bearded brownshirts tells them they can’t drink beer. It will not be pretty.
As with the French, Russian and other revolutions, those who capture and control the capital and then the other major cities can subdue the villages at their leisure.
