Critics argue the changes will never take effect as European Union directives overrule the proposed legislation. This will be interesting. The EU claiming it has the *authority* to stop this and actually having the *power* to do so are two very different things.
To paraphrase Andrew Jackson "The EU bureaucrats have made their decision, now let them enforce it"

this is why the DC aristocracy constantly tries to circumvent the US constitution via treaty. (see also Ginsberg) The political class HATE citizens with rights. The establishment media despises free thinking individuals.
The EU model is THEIR preferred form of government. They do not want to be citizen politicians, they want to be overlord commissars.
