I agree with everything you just wrote but I have to ask you: do you think Sessions is an asset?

So far I haven’t seen much balls or backbone from him. Maybe he’s holding back right now as part of a plan. I hope so.

I think Sessions is great.
He is an unassuming man, behind the scenes he is setting the DOJ in order, I only hope the new FBI appointee will be able to do the same.
Sessions is concentrating on the targets that he and President Trump discussed on the campaign trail and when he agreed on the appointment. He has said we will be upholding the laws and the Constitution and that stance is reverberating through the justice department.

DOJ has made a big impact on illegal alien entry, on illegal alien roundup and deportation, on streamlining the due process so that illegals don’t stay here long enough to claim rights. DOJ has made large scale arrests in child pornography & sex trafficking. Sessions is doing the work he was hired to do, the areas where President Trump wants him operating. AG Session & the DOJ have effectively pursued defense of the Travel Ban.

President Trump is using the tempests in a teapot (Russia, Collusion, Obstruction, etc) for his own purposes. I believe he is gently fanning them and steering them so they will recoil on the senders and allow him to bring justice to many of America’s black hats. Part of what was accomplished was to give his cabinet time and cover to get their areas under their control and functional, rooting out or transferring the leakers, obstructionists and spies. Having Sessions get bogged down by wading into to these faux crisis was not necessary and threatened progress.

The DOJ puts out multiple news items daily, that always make me smile.
