I thought unwanted embryos were eventually destroyed?
The creators of the unwanted embryos have a choice. Destroy, “donate for research,” use, or donate. The first two are the same. No one mandates you destroy your embryos. The family I received them from couldn’t bear to destroy them. Thank the Lrd. My daughter is a beautiful person who needed that chance to be born.
However, only about 50% of all embryos, frozen or otherwise, are fit to become babies. Many are simply messed up in the chromosomes and will not “take” or will fade in the first trimester.
